The Missus’s shoulder has mended and the doc removed her sling, so she is free to stretch her arm out. Next week, she’ll start physical therapy. We are grateful to God for answering prayer and to our good friends for their supplications for her.
¶ The waiting times at the hospital today were longer than previous. Still not terribly bad, considering. We’ve seen worse.
¶ Rereading a book on prayer. I pulled it off the shelf for a quick look, wound up going through a chapter well into the book. It was quite good, so I decided to start at the beginning again. Read three chapters during the hospital waits.
¶ May God give us all ears to hear the gospel of Christ, be transformed by the power of the Spirit, and find purpose and meaning in the hope of eternal life.
¶ A quote: “That which distinguishes a deeply religious man from all other people is the fact that he has a definite place in his life for prayer. … No finer example of this truth can be found than the one left us by Jesus” (L.G. Thomas, Let Us Pray, p. 10).
