Now page for July. And real donuts.

With seven items on my Now page for July I’ve overcomitted myself. One is more an approach then task. Better that than not have any goals set, right?

I did the list also in Portuguese, wrote it in my little notebook, and will also record it in my agenda/journal. Plenty of exposure so as not to forget.

Made big progress today on the magazine, and wrote a good bit on the first book (1).

¶ Baked donuts are not real donuts. Even if they have chocolate. Just to set the record straight.

¶ Rereading L.G. Thomas’s little book on prayer. Quite a good little work. See quote below from it. Also started Don Ruhl’s book, Thinking About God.

¶ A quote: “The heart that was meant for a temple may become a thoroughfare for the traffic of business. That is the real meaning of ‘profane.’ … It may take time and patience to shut the world out, to become quiet enough to hold communion with God” (p. 42).

¶ News of Don Ruhl’s death was disturbing. We hadn’t communicated in a while, so it was quite a shock.

¶ An original verse:

Of all the foods that one could eat, it’s bacon
That has them beat by a mile ─ there’s no mistakin’!

¶ A Bible verse, as the Last Word: “If we endure, we will also reign with him. If we deny him, he will also deny us” 2Timothy 2.12 NETB.
