GoDaddy has self-proclaimed April 29th as Webmaster Day. I got webmasters.
Apparently, the date has been declared so you’ll go to their site and send your webmaster a card on his day, and GoDaddy can throw some ads your way.
I’ll be landing in the U.S. on Tuesday, perhaps having a brunch with DS#1 and DDIL, then probably crashing for a long nap that afternoon.
So let me say my thanks now to webmasters who have provided and still provide me with wonderful service.
My first webmaster was Mike Brown, then of Paragould, Ark., and now lost somewhere in Dorothy’s Kansas, who got me some html pages up somewhere around ’97.
From there I parked in good and bad lots of freebie hosts.
- Today, Forthright Magazine is hosted by the Berryville Ark., church (where Kevin Cauley preached).
- BrotherhoodNews.com has Matt Clifton doing a great job of keeping things running on our own server.
- The famous Brad Choate, of Moveable Type fame, hosts a bunch of stuff for me, including my personal site right here where you’re reading, as well as Forthright Press. and Cloudburst Poetry.
- Eddie Watkins hosts my Portuguese sites, Alcanceweb.com and Deusconosco.com.
- Jody Apple has opened his server to my neglected QueroMais.com site and the site I created for Bulletin Digest.
And I’m sure I’m forgetting somebody in there somewhere.
But my thanks to all you guys for your kindness, generosity and savy at the service of this minor Kingdom subject.
