“Sometimes it comes down to a matter of tone, nothing more. It’s about how America talks with the outside world.”
So far, so good in my reading of this article, a surprisingly balanced one, for the BBC. Not that I agree with it all, as a long-term expatriate (that’s not ex-patriot, got it?).
And granted the statement above, Americans sometimes come across arrogantly, ethnocentric, thinking themselves the last, best hope for mankind. Especially deadly for religious workers, this attitude.
