This is our special meal for many special occasions. First, shepherd’s pie, vegetarian version. Then, sweet-and-sour carrots with green peppers. Then, cauliflower and broccoli salad, with bacon (vegetarian exception). Sweet tea, US southern-style, to wash it down. For dessert, homemade brownies. Maybe some ice cream on top of that, even though I’m lactose-intolerant.
All made from scratch, people.
In a little bit, some Brazilian friends will come by and we’ll share some of it with them.
I mentioned in an earlier post, that for us it’s not only Thanksgiving, but the 29th anniversary of our arrival in Brazil. Two special dates.
