In our carport we have a wooden trellis sitting on the wall where five orchid plants hang. Most don’t seem to like it there, but one plant, a gift from close friends for the Missus’s birthday, is a perennial bloomer, with a long stem of a dozen or so pinkish (OK, so I’m a male, no sense of color) blooms. A few of them, anyway. Picture quality isn’t top notch, but will give you an idea. Taken a couple of days ago, in the morning, cloudy, after a night of rain.
The plants under the carport looked good when we got back. (See the larger view by clicking on the picture.)
The poinsettia is filling out nicely, my aloe vera is coming along, the hanging plant, whose name I forget, is laden with thick leaves, the creeper has creeped up some more, and the orchid in the upper left popped out with another bloom. We had someone coming by to water them, so they were looked after.
And all the fish (indoors) were still alive, FWIW. The window is to our kitchen.
