The mission of the church is one: the proclamation of the Good News of Christ so that people may repent and come to eternal salvation. Its main activity is speaking of Christ. Within this mission, there is also the work of strengthening the converts, so that they may remain firm in faith.

After he spent some time there, Paul left and went through the region of Galatia and Phrygia, strengthening all the disciples.
Acts 18.23 NET

This trip wasn’t counted among the missionary journeys of Paul, but it was as important as the others. In the others, his main work was evangelism. It appears that this one had the principal task of edification.

It is important to save souls, and also to keep them saved.

Father, thank you for the example we have of evangelism and of edification of the brethren. May our service be complete in Christ. Amen.

Hold this thought: Let ever be heard an encouraging word in the church.
