In memory of those who stood up in the Oregon college shooting

Stand up for Christ, stand up!
You’ll see God in a second —
The bullet will not take long,
The devil’s detail is short,
His win is his defeat.

Speak up for Christ, speak up!
Here and now God’s present —
We mourn not for the strong
Who die for a coward’s sport —
Who go to a heavenly meet.

Look up for Christ, look up!
He comes in the clouds with power —
He sings the victor’s song,
The King in his glorious court,
His enemies under his feet.
