The simplest Bible reading plan possible

Get a printout of all Bible books, with chapter numbers listed. Read three to four chapters a day, on average. Mark off chapters as you read. In a year or less, you’re done.

You choose the order of books, fewer or more chapters per day, depending on need and opportunity, flexible for your schedule. It takes the pressure off.

I’ll probably stick with Horner’s plan, but this idea is a quick start for anybody.
