Brotherly communion is a wonderful thing to experience. I came home and jotted down this little poem to celebrate the day today.

Among us mix both tears and mirth,
We stand before the storm that is life,
With hugs of warmth, and healing words,
The family of God in faithful communion.

Together, under the God of light,
We share our selves, he shines upon us,
Makes whole again the hidden wounds.

No longer strangers, we love one another,
Accept the weak, succor the wounded;
We value each saint as vines of the Branch,
Runs freely our joy, that frontispiece of friends.
