Our city always has some interesting facts. Today, an almost link to Moses.

About 20 cases of swine flu have been confirmed in our region, five in SJCampos.

Embraer, Brazil’s commercial jet manufacturer based in SJCampos, celebrates 40 years of activity Aug. 19. It has over 17,000 employees and orders of almost 20 billion dollars.

SJCampos produces, on the average, 535 tons of trash per day.

The city just got its fourth theater for stage productions, in the mall closest to our house. It seats 320 people and costed three million reais, about 1 1/2 million dollars. Brazilian theater, from ads I’ve seen, loves immorality.

The river ran red. A creek in the Eugenio de Melo district turned red and scared residents. But it was no miracle. The Ericsson industry was using potassium permanganate, a disinfectant and oxidant, which a city utility guaranteed brought no threat to residents. But they authorized the industry to use another product to de-color the water.
