Psalm 101. As the one responsible for the spiritual well-being of the nation of Israel, the king declares his intention to make the people do the will of God and to cultivate loyalty and justice (1). Aware of the strong influence that others exercise, he wants to surround himself with the faithful and people of integrity (6).

Each morning I will destroy all the wicked people in the land,
and remove all evildoers from the city of the LORD.
Psalm 101.8 NET

8. The daily task (NLT) of the king would be to eliminate the wicked among the nation. It would be something he would do with zeal, without rest, day after day (OL).

If the king of Israel took such pains, how much more must supervisors remove, without delay, from the midst of the congregations for which they are responsible, the unfaithful and perverse?!
