Since some have been calorie-deprived of this delicious sweet, here’s the official Darlena-Vicki-Leila recipe.
1 stick butter, melted
2 cups graham cracker crumbs
1 cup coconut, shredded
1 cup pecans, chopped
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 can sweetened condensed milk (for topping)
Directions: Melt butter in square loaf pan. Add other ingredients in layers in the order given. Pour the sweetened condensed milk on top and place in a 350ºF oven for 25-30 minutes.
Water generously with juice or tea during consumption.
Leila went easy on the coconut and added an extra 1/4 cup of chocolate chips, turned out even better.
