“Affirmatives” was my first major general-interest column, at the Morrock News Digest, where I also was tagged as a contributing editor. I spent two years there trying to kick out a weekly article, and the editor was very kind to keep me on. The column focused on “positive human values surfacing from news reports, personal events and cross-cultural experiences.”
Since on occasion I get the hankering to do more of these essays, as a lover of self-inflicted pain seeks out greater throes, I’ve deigned to open up a segment on this site for them, appropriately titled, “Essays.”
So, readers, beware.
Ah, and I have published one — perhaps with more coming — by a third party, and they’re under the Literature category. (If I can keep it all straight.)
