Quilts thrown in street, walked on, then donated

On Corpus Christi, the annual 3k procession in SJC decided to cushion their steps differently this year.

Walking on quiltsBefore, the organizers of the religious procession used sawdust or coffee grinds spread on the streets, apparently to protect their long garments or cushion their soles.

This year they used quilts.

Ah, but comes the redemptive feature: after being thrown down in the street and tromped on by several hundred people, they’ll be donated to the needy.

Now isn’t that a Christian thing to do!
