First, it was instrumental music in their worship. Now, a Valentine’s dance. What’s next?

Also, families can attend a Valentine’s Dance Saturday from 6-8 p.m. in the gym on the south side of Quail Springs Church of Christ, 14401 N. May Ave. The cost is $25 per family and 96 percent of the funds will go toward Dixon’s surgery.

Let’s see, how about a women’s bathing suit contest? That ought to bring people in. Or sell one of those calendars with people in skimpy or no clothes? From the news reports, those always sell very well. Or maybe start a bingo night? Lots of churches do that.

When the Bible doesn’t really matter, the sky (heaven) is not longer the limit.

  1. There is no sin in the eyes of the person that has no law. No law = lawlessness.

    Matthew 7:22-23
22 Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ 23 And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’

  2. I wonder if Kevin Bacon is going to show up at the dance, and they can all sing “everybody cut footloose”.

  3. With all that is going on, this really does need to me Numero Uno on the list of priorities. This is the kind of thing which causes the corruption of society. Great job, keep up the good work.

BTW, you should mention your judgment on this situation to the two kids that may lose their mother to a rare liver disease. I’m sure they would be very appreciative of your thoughts.

What do you think?
