Cloudburst Poetry: The Abundant Life

Last Friday night, friend Barbara discovered she needed a poem for the next day, for her congregation’s ladies’ day.

The theme of the day was “Living the Abundant Life.” She asked me if I had something. I didn’t remember. I was home alone, with DW and DD away at a ladies’ retreat. So I started writing.

And today’s poem was the result.

Here’s the first stanza:

Life abundant can be ours,
For any person, anywhere,
This precious bread brings boundless powers,
To be received, and meant to share.
