Few today believe in commitment. At the first sign of problems or displeasure, they abandon jobs, marriages and other relationships, and values. One’s word means nothing; promises and vows are broken without hesitation.

And so by persevering, Abraham inherited the promise.
Hebrews 6.15 NET

To persevere includes waiting, having patience, showing constancy, staying until the end. Abraham waited decades. He believed in God. He did not give up.

God’s promise is certain. It may be received by anyone. The necessary quality for receiving it is the perseverance of obedient faith.

Many abandon the Way and give up on the promise.

Will you be one of them?
