I’m at the gate in São Paulo waiting for the call to board, headed to Salvador for the year’s big event for the northeast. I ask prayer for a safe trip and that my two lessons and discussion classes will edify the brethren and encourage any non-Christians who might happen to be present. Pray too that I hold up well under some fierce temperatures.
Vicki is staying at home this time around. Please pray for her also as she holds down the fort, that all go well with her, and that she is safe and content. The Sunday meeting will go forward at our house, with Douglas and Jonathan in charge of the worship period.
It’s probably been 10 years since I’ve been with the good folk in Salvador. This is a bright spot in the Brazil work, so many dedicated brothers and sisters here. We always come away encouraged by their faith.
The theme this year is “Reflecting the Light,” quite appropriate, carrying well the spirit of proclaiming the gospel. One of my topics is, in fact, “Go, and proclaim the glory of God to men.” The other, “The Characteristics of a Mirror.” The class will be about being alive in/by the Spirit of God.
May your weekend be blessed and full of opportunities to serve the Lord.
