No greater motivation

faithfulness“Leadership is getting someone to do what they don’t want to do, to achieve what they want to achieve,” said the American coach Tom Landry. In a word, it’s finding for others the motivation that will carry them through, which they themselves have not been able to find until now.

But exhort one another every day, as long as it is called “today,” that none of you may be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin. For we share in Christ, if indeed we hold our original confidence firm to the end.
Hebrews 3:13-14 ESV

To share in Christ is the great “therefore” which takes us to the finish line and which we offer to others for their encouragement. This is why the letter to the Hebrews dedicates itself to explain Christ’s superiority in every way.

Throughout the letter, the author makes every effort so that the readers will “consider” Christ (12:3).

Will we not do well making the same effort, to motivate ourselves and others?
