It’s today, August 22.
Satan likes to change God’s punctuation. “Did God say …?”
The recent book, “Eats, Shoots, and Leaves,” takes a zero-tolerance approach to punctuation, say some. Spiritually, we ought to do the same.
Portuguese calls the period the “final point.” When Brazilians want to indicate that a subject is closed for further discussion, they will say “e ponto final,” i.e., “and final point.”
God has many final points, or periods. We would do well not to change them to commas or question marks.
Lord, help us to read your Word with the proper punctuation. And may our lives be the great exclamation point for the gospel in this world bored and jaded from sin. Amen.
