My worthless life

When the church has men and women who make this same affirmation as the apostle Paul—and live by it, as he did, great advances will be made in God’s kingdom:

But I do not consider my life worth anything to myself, so that I may finish my task and the ministry that I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the good news of God’s grace.
Acts 20:24 NET

There is something more important than one’s physical life. Investing in eternity is the supreme good. God’s work deserves all our effort, all our dedication, even at the expense of physical life itself.

For if Christ gave up his life for the Father’s project, can we do less?

God of my salvation, your righteousness comes first, even above physical life. To do your will and to share the gospel is everything to me. Because it also was everything to my Lord Jesus. Amen.

Hold this thought: The gospel deserves every effort.
