A new arrangement, the Bullet Journal, for getting my daily items done, includes giving glory to God. It’s the crown of the ten-item list, yet to be found in popular books on the subject of personal organization.
In all one does, glory should be given to God. “Whatever you do, do everything for the glory of God” 1Co 10.31 NET. But the purpose behind the activity needs to be explicit. So this is the meta-item that takes them all in.
Among efforts to fulfill this item and make it more than something to check off is a daily statement, either written or meditated upon in the heart. No guilt, therefore, if it doesn’t get shared.
I wanted quite a simple place for these statements, but didn’t want — forbade myself — to create a new venue for it. I experimented around, but quickly went with it to my personal site here, through this tag, giveglory.
The statements will likely have something to do with what’s happening in our lives on that particular day or with a reading from Scripture.
So now you have the explanation to the “Glory to God” posts you will see here.
