Mount Holly Cemetery in Snow

From Jason Burt’s photo this quatrain ghosted up from the mind.

Mount Holly Cemetery in Snow

The dead in neater rows than ever in life,
An ordered quiet, a cold and silent grave;
No love, no work, no child, no man, no wife,
Now gone to where not even Christ can save.

I’d seen it before on Jason’s website (see under Decorative Art Gallery), but his posting it to his Facebook pics elicted this quatrain.

The cemetery in downtown Little Rock is, he says, “one of the state’s oldest cemeteries dating back to the Civil War.”
