Nobody missed him

In some stories about the death of disciples in the New Testament, there is crying and grief over the loss. But in the case of Ananiah, nothing like that is mentioned.

So the young men came, wrapped him up, carried him out, and buried him.
Acts 5.6 NET

The description of his burial is short and curt. No honors, no lamentation for him.

His lie and punishment from God caused no one to miss him.

His absence was a relief.

The church of God was blessed by his departure.

All because of a lie.
