A friend, motivated by my poem a day during Poetry Month, decided to do a limerick a day during May. More power to him! He’s sharing them with a few of us, but I don’t think he’s putting this online. If he does, I’ll link to it. But his limericks inspired me to do a few. Here’s one of them.

Young Sam thought it good to be witty,
He wrote with a twist and a ditty,
So bad was his wit,
That his mom bid him quit,
And everyone cried, “He’s a pity!”

What do you think?
