The world teaches that our qualifications come from what we are and do. We transfer this thought into the spiritual realm. Often saints beg off from service in the kingdom by claiming to be too inexperienced, too busy, too afraid, too limited, too something.
I answered, “Oh, Lord God, I really do not know how to speak well enough for that, for I am too young.” The Lord said to me, “Do not say, ‘I am too young.’ But go to whomever I send you and say whatever I tell you.
Jer 1.6-7 NET
God has a work to be accomplished. He calls all his people to engage in that work. He refuses to let us off the hook when we offer him excuses of our limitations. He expects simple obedience, for he provides the direction and the words, the strength and the capacity.
The work does not depend upon what we can do, but upon what God will do in us and with us.
Don’t refuse his call.
