I’m in a hurry

We hurry to leave the job in order to take advantage of our personal time, to enjoy holidays and vacations, and to rest on the weekend.

We hurry to take advantage of sales in the stores, to avoid heavy traffic in rush hour, to carry out the trash when we hear the truck arriving.

We hurry to update our professional knowledge, to meet the demands of family, to seek out pleasures of the world, to find time for ourselves.

And what about the will of God? The things above? The service for the eternal kingdom? Obedience to the Lord’s commandments? Following Jesus Christ? Preparing for the Beyond?

I hurry to keep your commandments— I never put it off!
