Arrived SP after a night of little rest on the plane. The guy next to me was hefty, took up his side and half of mine. But aside from a long line at immigration, everything went smoothly. Here I am at 7 a.m. waiting for 8 o’clock bus to SJC, as I told Vicki I’d do, so she wouldn’t have to be out on the Dutra by herself.
I just called home to let Vicki know I’d arrived. She said it rained all day yesterday. But though it’s wet outside, it appears to have let up. A bit cool, about 68 degrees, the plane’s monitor said.
6:30 p.m. I slept most of the way home on the bus from the Guarulhos airport to the SJC bus station. Then, after an almondshake, conked out for a couple hours. Vicki fixed a great supper, Leila’s off to music class. It’s so good to be home.
