‘Tis Jesus Christ I choose,
For him all else I lose,
My final good!
No other satisfies,
All fleshly pleasure dies,
For God my spirit cries;
To him we hold.
My heart to him I give,
For his dear cause I live,
His reason mine;
Let man his calling hear
To walk in reverent fear,
To keep him always near
In every time.
Refuse the world’s appeal
To live by what we feel —
For Christ you know;
But do the Father’s will,
Your every need he’ll fill
Beneath Golgotha’s hill;
There we must go.
Really like this one! I’ve never seen that structure before but I like it, and the content ain’t so bad, either 😉
Thanks, I took the structure from a old hymn I found on CCEL. Content, fair to middlin’.
