Christian poetryMy moment in this world, alone,
To hear the rain upon the green,
The distant bark of a dog, unseen,
Above, an airplane’s faintest drone.

Here I, as still as windless leaves,
I, listen to the inner voice,
Take counsel in the righteous choice,
And mouth the prayer that God receives.

From words upon a page He speaks,
Those I would hear and slowly eat,
To find where God and Christians meet —
These are the ways my spirit seeks.
