Jesus told an illustration which he called “the parable of the sower” (Matthew 13:18). Though many lessons can be gleaned from the parable, the last and perhaps most important lesson should not be lost on those who sow the seed of the gospel.
But these are the ones sown on good soil: They hear the word and receive it and bear fruit, one thirty times as much, one sixty, and one a hundred.
Mark 4:20 NET
The sower has to sow God’s word in the world. The great lesson is that there will be results. Fruit will be produced. The power of the word will have its desired effect. People will hear and receive the message of Christ.
If you say that nobody wants to hear the truth of the gospel, you’re not sowing the word of God. For when there is sowing, there will be reaping.
So says the greatest Sower of all.
