Conscience and hypocrisy

I’m not familiar with Mr.  Williams, and have little to say in support of his church’s doctrines, but this interview is right on.

A Matter of Conscience

Simply put, conscience is our mind thinking morally. It is the human ability to reason not just logically or pragmatically, but according to the categories of right and wrong, and of good, better and best. It is practical moral knowledge, and not guilt feelings or intuition.

His words on hypocrisy, below the fold, are also quite good. Obviously, the interview was done in light of the U.S. presidential elections, but his content is laudable.

I’ve long had an interest in these two subjects, and Mr. Williams’s words reflect, insofar as they go, my own thoughts.
