Cloudburst Poem: Application

Five stanzas today, fired by a short devotional.

Though I can’t keep publishing their devotionals, I was inspired by this NLT “Living Water” offering that came this morning in the email. The Biblical text is from Psalm 19:7:

“The law of the LORD is perfect, reviving the soul. The decrees of the LORD are trustworthy, making wise the simple.”

And the short thought from the devotional, in its entirety:

Do you feel stagnant in your relationship with God? We all want a vibrant faith, full of God’s mighty power and intimate fellowship. The Bible says that applying the Word of God is the key to soul revival.

And here’s the first stanza of the poem, for the curious:

If you feel stagnant in your walk
With God, if in your heart the cold
Has chilled your zeal and placed a lock
On faith, if Satan has gained a hold,

Again, the Cloudburst material isn’t published on the Internet, so if you want to read the rest, you’ll you to ask pretty-please.
