The BBE says, “He whose spirit is uncontrolled is like an unwalled town which has been broken into.”

When we went through Proverbs in the adult class a couple of years I remember talking about that verse a making the point that you referred to. I tied it together with Proverbs 16:32 which really drives home the point about how it takes more strength to control our self than it does to control others.

To me, verses like those are what makes the book of Proverbs so practical and unique for our time, but at the same time it’s still a book that carries with it great themes that are found throughout the rest of the scriptures.
