Great acoustics, even if the recording isn’t top notch.
See translation of hymn on this video’s YouTube link.
Let’s title this set of lyrics, “Would You Speak of Him?” Background on these lyrics is here. The original tune and lyrics from 1898 can be found here. An a cappella choral arrangement is here (all I could find).

WOULD YOU SPEAK OF HIM?
Would you put in Jesus’ hand your life and all you own?
Would you speak of Him, who sits upon the Throne?
Would you throw your net upon the earth to make Him known?
Let Him have His way with thee. Continue reading
The rendition of these ladies shakes me to my soul.
- I am weak, but Thou art strong;
Jesus, keep me from all wrong;
I’ll be satisfied as long
As I walk, let me walk close to Thee.
Just a closer walk with Thee,
Grant it, Jesus, is my plea,
Daily walking close to Thee,
Let it be, dear Lord, let it be.
- Through this world of toil and snares,
If I falter, Lord, who cares?
Who with me my burden shares?
None but Thee, dear Lord, none but Thee.
- When my feeble life is o’er,
Time for me will be no more;
Guide me gently, safely o’er
To Thy kingdom shore, to Thy shore.
From John 3:16. Scripture songs are special, don’t you think? This one from the Long Island church. No idea if it’s original with them.
Betty Choate wrote the words to “Thou Shalt Call,” Barry Epps, the music, and a group from the Lewisville TX church sang for this mp3.
Thanks to Betty for permission to post the song file here.

Am sending today a special four-stanza poem to the Cloudburst Syndicated Poetry list, “From Craters on the Moon.” Below is the space for subscribers to comment. Later, I hope to share it with you as a hymn, since it’s in 188.8.131.52 meter, also known as Short Meter.
• Speaking of the moon, this report says that “The moon’s crust was apparently active far more recently than previously believed, scientists say.” Imagine that, scientists having to correct their time projections! From 1 billion to 50 million years. That’s too many zeros for me to calculate, but the difference is something like me thinking you’d take 50 years to show up and you took five minutes. Not much difference, eh? Continue reading
With the tune in my head, I wrote this for the Christian.
At first, I varied the second and last lines of the stanzas, but it didn’t feel right, especially with the first line of the chorus repeating one of those, so I went back to the original pattern.
