Grateful for my dad
I’m grateful that my dad pointed me toward ministry, that he encouraged me to study, and that he gave me an example of dedication in the church. He willingly did what he could, and I am glad to imitate his faith.
Vicki and Tessa

Taken just before Tessa’s bedtime yesterday. It was a long day. She went shopping with Aunt Yeiya (Leila) and Vovó, took a long nap, had a great time at Judah’s birthday party. And still finished up smiling!
Family photo with kids and grandkids

This was taken today at Judah’s big pirate party for his third birthday, in Mt Juliet TN. He’s the pirate kid in the back behind Vicki in his dad’s arms. It was good to have all our kids together.

Do you know this preacher?

The good of Christmas
- Good time with friends and family. (Parties, kid at home.)
- Good food. (Mexican chicken and broccoli and cauliflower salad today.)
- Good rest. (I slept until 7.40 am!)
- Good moment to count blessings.
- Good music. (Classical Christmas music, ELO, CCR, classical.)
- Good memories. (Last time we were all together for Christmas.)
- Good opportunity to talk about the gospel.
What else might you add? Or feel free to elaborate on any of the above.
Our Thanksgiving meal, a week after the American date
Some of my favorite dishes: veggie shepherd’s pie, sweet and sour carrots, and broiled asparagus. Why a week late? Continue reading
Prayer request: Vicki’s uncle in car accident
Vicki was at her mother’s house, and they’d had dinner Wednesday evening with her Uncle Harold, who lives with her mother. Vicki and her mom went on to church, and later discovered he’d had a car accident. They air-lifted him to Memphis, so Thursday Vicki and her mom drove to Memphis. Continue reading
