MCCLURES LEAVE BRASILIA; PENNISIS RETURN FOR SECOND DOSE

BRASILIA & SOROCABA, BRAZIL (BZNS)- Basil and Rachel McClure, members of the Brasilia mission team, closed out their work in the nation’s Federal District in May to return to the USA. Basil encouraged the church greatly developing the worship and singing. Rachel was a frequent speaker for women’s groups and a writer for Brazil’s Christian Woman magazine.

The McClures arrived in Brazil March 1989 and adopted Brazilian twins during their time in Brasilia.

Continuing the work in Brasilia are Jerry and Gail Heiderich, who first worked in Brazil since 1980.

John and Catherine Pennisi arrived in Brazil May 29 to begin work with the fledgling church in the city of Sorocaba, 50 miles from Sao Paulo. The city has 375,000 population. They are being overseen by a church in Paducah, Ken.

The Pennisis were members of the original 1961 Sao Paulo mission team. They worked in Sao Paulo for — years.
