Both Are Blessed and Good

Have I a right from time to time
To jump the narrow tracks,
To eat some sweets, or write a rhyme,
Or play some ball and jacks?

Or marbles maybe—reds and blues—
Or color a coloring book,
A chocolate cone, or might I choose
A novel in a nook?

There’s time for play and time for work,
And both are blessed and good;
Do one without the other shirk —
I will, and you too would?

What do you think?
