As I sit working on the back porch, at our little picnic table, I seldom see birds of the same markings and coloring. There are so many different types and species, it’s amazing. I can name only a few, like parrots, hummingbirds, swallows, martins, or the ubiquitous sparrow. One list says there are 860 species in São Paulo state.

  1. We have a little “bottom” between our back yard and the riverbank, which is wooded. There have been two hawks of some sort living there for a couple years, and we have a steady population of blue jays and cardinals. But that’s about it. We’ve had hummingbirds, but didn’t have any last year. I’ve taken to feeding and watching them the last few years. Anon, I’ll have a new birding venue, Lord willing, but I doubt as colorful as yours 😉

    • Still makes for a nice experience, doesn’t it, to appreciate the beauty of creation and the imagination of God?

What do you think?
