The ancient version of “In one ear, out the other”

And a precursor to Paul’s warning about taking heed you stand lest you fall:

“Those who hear the warnings of this curse should not congratulate themselves, thinking, ‘I am safe, even though I am following the desires of my own stubborn heart.’ This would lead to utter ruin! Deuteronomy 29:19 NLT

    1. Absolutely, and the verse served to encourage me to evaluate what I’m putting out there. I suppose the tests ought to be: (1) Does it draw people closer to God; (2) Does it draw attention to the Lord, rather than to me; and (3) does it, in the end, build up. Got any others to add, perhaps?

What do you think?
