READ: “’What is written in the law?’ He asked him. ‘How do you read it?’” Lk 10.26.
THINK: God’s family is a people who read. They meditate constantly on his law, Psa 1.2. All should hear the word of the Lord, 1 Thes 5.27. We will be judged by it, Jn 12.48; Heb 4.12-13. Zeal must be accompanied by knowledge, Rom 10.2. We must excel in knowledge, 2 Cor 8.7, among other things. In the Scriptures are God’s power, Mt 22.29, and eternal life, Jn 5.39. We must examine them daily, Acts 17.11.
ACT: Establish and follow a serious plan of Bible reading.
PRAY: Father, my pleasure is in your word, and I want to hear it always.
ASK: What are the obstacles to me reading the Bible?
