“The Lord will deliver me from every evil deed and will bring me safely into his heavenly kingdom. To him be glory for ever and ever! Amen” 2 Tim 4.18.
The Lord will do the same for all his faithful people. Not the complete absence of evil in the world, but the Lord’s delivery from real harm is what sets him apart as the God who saves forever. Praise to him!
We count only on those resources that we are able to see and handle. The tendency is human, and universal, over millennia, to fail to depend on the power of God. Continue reading
God allows evil in this world, as a consequence of man’s free will. He loves man so much and desires so much to have his voluntary fellowship, that he is willing to permit sin among humanity. But he works even now to bring peace and joy to those who love and serve him. Evil will soon end, so that God’s good may prevail. Glorify God for his marvelous plan!
Each phase of life brings special needs and challenges. All of us face unique temptations and difficulties, as well as opportunities, because of functions and responsibilities the Lord places upon us. Continue reading
God exercises his power and authority at every moment. He commands his angels to serve his people. His Spirit moves according to his will to produce the fruit of the kingdom. God is the inexhaustible subject, about whom we may speak and study and meditate without ever reaching the end of knowledge about him. His love is so broad and deep and high, that we can never fathom it completely. His power is immense, so that we can never discover its full strength. Praise to the eternal and unlimited Lord!
God has never sinned, never does wrong, always does what is right. Jesus cures our souls and calls us to repentance. God has been called the God of the second chance. He commands us to sin no more, so that we might be his people and enjoy his fellowship. Blessed be the God of holiness!
After many years he awoke from slumber
And counted hours he’d wasted, without number.
He couldn’t undo the past, now he was old;
From knowledge of what he’d lost, his heart was cold.
He doubled efforts and tried to right his loss—
A frantic race—his heavy albatross.
