A nice image along with some important verses for the Christian mission.

go-tell-everyone

“I am not praying only on their behalf, but also on behalf of those who believe in me through their testimony,that they will all be one, just as you, Father, are in me and I am in you. I pray that they will be in us, so that the world will believe that you sent me.The glory you gave to me I have given to them, that they may be one just as we are one—I in them and you in me—that they may be completely one, so that the world will know that you sent me, and you have loved them just as you have loved me” John 17.20-23 NET. As I sit working on the back porch, at our little picnic table, I seldom see birds of the same markings and coloring. There are so many different types and species, it’s amazing. We ought to endure everything so that we may not be a hindrance to the gospel of Christ. We must do everything for the gospel. We must cooperate so that the gospel may be spread.

Some reject the gospel, to their eternal perdition. Others twist it to create another gospel, which is no gospel at all. Continue reading

angel weeping

While searching for a hymn that would go along with our Facebook page, Jesus Lord and Savior, I found one, with these words:

Abide with us, Lord Jesus,
Fill us with holy zeal;
Give us to think as angels think,
And feel as angels feel.

I’m not sure what the author means to say. Do you have an idea? Is it possible, and should humans aspire, to think and feel as angels do?
