Cloudburst Poem: My Library
The warmth some people feel for pets I feel for my books.
Here’s the first of the four stanzas in today’s poem:
Shelf on shelf of tomes and books,
Both stiff and paper, thick and thin;
Some merit study, others, looks,
Some speak of grace, still others, sin.
In his book on Bible lands, J.W. McGarvey wrote that he went into his library and said goodbye to his books before taking off on his journey. I can identify with that.
So here’s to My Library.
