My late entry into the 21st century

Yes, I did it. I bought a cell phone for me. Along with one for Leila for her 16th birthday. I’d put her off long enough.

All of ours, including Vicki’s, are pre-paid. Easier to control expenses, less to lose if stolen.

In March, Brazil reached 125 million cell phone subscribers. In that month alone, a record 1.688 million cell phones were activated. That’s an increase of 74.85% over March, 2007, according to an April report by Globo.

Eighty percent of all cell phones in Brazil are pre-paid, the report said.

Will I regret getting a cell phone?
