No baptism

One of the largest Southern Baptist churches in Oklahoma will vote this weekend on a proposal that would eliminate immersion baptism as an essential for those who wish to join the church.

They just don’t know what to do with baptism. Once you rid it of the biblical reason — remission of sins (Acts 2.38; 22.16) — there’s no reason to keep it around.
